As for myself, I count approximately 40 works completed besides reading parts of the Bible and some of Shakespeare’s works.  Seems like I have attempted Les Miserables and Tess of the D’Urbervilles at one time or another,  but have not  been able to finish either one.

My all-time favorites would  have to include anything by Jane Austen and J. R. R. Tolkien.
